Bean`s Barbecue in Edinburg

This place is the TRUTH. It's not pretty, which is how you know it is an authentic BBQ joint. That, and the years of sweet smoke residue that coat the walls. The pulled pork and ribs were divine. The sides I could take or leave, but they weren't bad.

Excellent, but if you want the ribs get there very very early. We were shut out but the brisket we had was suberb. Definitely worth a visit.

Food was delicious. However, we drove 30 minutes out of our way to eat at a pet friendly place (used to be but due to previous unruly owners it no longer is) only to be told our dog could not sit in the open eating area. We ate our bbq on benches in the sun next to the road. Very disappointing.

Great BBQ, always more than you can eat

Best BBQ in the Shenandoah Valley!! You definitely get your money's worth with these guys. I'm not a rib person, BUT I am NOW. Their ribs are delicious, full of meat, just falls of the bone. The sandwich is enough for 2 😝

Terrific prices. The Pulled Pork sandwich had great flavor, and was tender and moist. I was traveling through from Annapolis to Shenandoah National Park looking for good BBQ. Would definitely stop in again.

Absolutely love this place. We live in Jersey, everytime we come here to our cabin its a MUST to stop at beans! So yummy. Dont let the 1 star haters tell you other wise..

Stopped for dinner and the pulled pork was both gigantic and delicious! The only reason not giving 5 stars is you have to use cash and nothing else on the menu was available. Great service and food.

Great barbeque! Their brisket is awesome but only served on thursday and goes quick. U could eat there but because its housed in an old firehouse they keep the roll up door open, and like ants go with a picnic, flies go with a barbeque.

Great food using locally grown ingredients, portions are huge, texture and flavor of his smoked meats is absolutely amazing.

size of the bbq sandwich was amazing! I also ordered a 1/4 rack of ribs. they were very moist as well as plenty of meat. I will be back!

There is no way you can get better ribs

This BBQ is legit amazing!! Probably some of the best if not the best BBQ I've ever had! If you get a sandwich they stack the meat on! They only take cash, but they do have an ATM there.

Business hours were wrong. Drove out of the way to get BBQ only to find out they were closed.

Stopped for food off of I-81N and saw a giant black smoker giving off beautiful whisps of smoke. Ended up having the best BBQ I have had in 5 years. (And I am ALWAYS looking for good BBQ.)

Absolutely amazing meats, sauces, and sides. A little pricey but definitely worth it once their meat melts in your mouth!!

Beans barbecue is the best anywhere and the servings are huge! Friendly service always. Don't miss it if you're in the area.

Great pulled pork sandwiches and slaw. Sandwiches are huge and good value for money. Glad we found this place on our drive through VA! Note they are only open Thurs-Fri-Sat.

Recommended by a local resident as great BBQ!! Took this 100 miles home to eat and can't wait till I am in the valley again.Had the chopped brisket and pulled pork. Excellent job on both. Sauces, beans and slaw are tasty as well. Highly recommended.

It was good. Tender shredded pork sandwiches that are certainly worth your money, outdoor seating, friendly service. I just wish they'd take credit cards and have some sauces that aren't so sweet.

Excellent selection of meat, with brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. The ribs are the star for me, you get a full rack of ribs, basically 2 layers of ribs. They are tender and very smokey, and the best part is they customize the sauce to your liking upon request. ORDER THE BRISKET AND RIBS THURSDAY FOR FRIDAY PICKUP. I cannot emphasize this enough! This is a popular place with great prices and when they sell out, they sell out. I made that mistake 2 weeks ago and they were sold out when I got there. Now, the sides... the baked beans are awesome, they are smokey and blended with chunks of pulled pork. It's amazing, really rich and meaty. The coleslaw is excellent, with a sweet vinegar sauce and a light seasoning that lets you enjoy the refreshing crunch of the cabbage. Totally worth the ride from Broadway!

This place is very unique. The servings are extremely large. I had the barbecue sandwich and it was great. The sauces were also extremely good. The only thing I could complain about is that pork was a little bit on the dry side.

Well worth a trip specifically to go here. Call in advance to reserve brisket or ribs, as they do sell out in advance.

The food is great. Just don't go in fly season and think you can eat there.

I've eaten here a few times and I can say this is a great place to eat with the best barbecue anywhere. And the quantity of the food is crazy. We bought 3 sandwiches and it was enough for 10 people. The next time I buy from there I'm gonna weigh the sandwiches to see how heavy they are. But it feels like many pounds of meat. Great sauces as well.

Accepts cash and local checks ONLY. ATM machine located inside. Beef and pork available in differ sizes or on sandwiches. Sides are RT11 chips, excellent baked beans, and coleslaw. Many homemade sauces. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Holy smokes! This joint is no frills, but you're not headed there for the decor. You're coming for the great pulled pork, and the to-die-for baked beans. What a spot.

Awesome bbq. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich that came with one side and a drink. Generous portion. I was able to share the pulled pork. The guys there were very friendly. Unique space for a restaurant that used to be a fire at station!
